Here are some updates from Habitat!
2013 Summer Collegiate Challenge: Medford, Oregon:
UCSD Habitat for Humanity sent 11 students on another successful Collegiate Challenge trip to help out the Rogue Valley Habitat located in Medford, Oregon. The group helped with painting the outside of the house, digging trenches for the irrigation system, and building a gate. They also assisted at the Rogue Valley ReStore where they recycled old windows. During downtime and the free day, the group went on hikes and took a visit to Crater Lake National Park! Other activities included going out to local restaurants, hanging out at the local YMCA playing pick-up basketball and going bowling. (pictures)

PETCO Park Fundraisers:
If you can't wait to get together with Habitat until fall quarter, come and help out with fundraising by volunteering to work at a Padre's Major League Baseball game! Fundraising is a crucial part of our club, and Habitat as a whole. Along with donating our time and physical strength while going on build days, we also donate financially to an international beneficiary as well as to the local affiliates when traveling on Collegiate Challenges. Finances are important and necessary to function because as a campus chapter we not only support ourselves, but help support our parent chapter, San Diego Habitat.
